About Khaos Technology
Khaos Technology is an independent software company focused on advancing the future of print through production-aware tools — built for the realities of modern manufacturing, not adapted from adjacent industries.
Built by the inventor behind the technology
Founded by inventor and developer Richard Ainge, Khaos exists to engineer specialist tools that help printers, brands, and agencies visualise, predict, and communicate the true value of print — especially when embellishments, special inks, and non-standard substrates are involved.
Richard’s work spans colour systems, print workflow, and real-world production behaviour — translating complex press realities into software that behaves the way print professionals expect: precise, practical, and consistent.
Technologies created under Khaos
- Visualis3R® — next-generation print visualisation for realistic preview of embellishments (foils, varnishes, emboss/deboss, specialty substrates, extended gamut and special inks) before production.
- EVE™ (Embellishment Value Estimator) — a production-aware cost modelling tool designed to help printers move from price-based quoting to value-led conversations, with stepped waste, tooling, press/sheet sizing, and client-ready summaries.
- Touch7® — specialist separation and design tools for fluorescent and extended colour workflows, engineered to help creatives and printers achieve predictable, production-ready results.
A note on Color-Logic
Prior to Khaos Technology’s current product line, Richard also co-founded and served as the original inventor and developer behind Color-Logic® — a widely adopted metallic colour communication system used across the global print market.
Khaos Technology collaborates with partners across the industry to support adoption and distribution, while remaining focused on research, engineering, and product development.
